The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero on Monday 29th August 2022 paid a familiarization visit to MGK Healthcare, situated at Karkasara road in Tarauni local government area of Kano State.
Soon after his arrival, the monarch was received by some of the management of the Hospital including, the founder of MGK Healthcare Services, Malam Muhammad Garba, and the Director General of Medica Overseas from Egypt, Dr Thamer Kazamel, who signed a memorandum of understanding with the MGK Healthcare.
In his address, the founder of the hospital, Malam Muhammad Garba, expressed his delight and gratitude for the visit of His Highness the Emir of Kano; “This is a great joy for all of us”, he said.
He described the health sector as an avenue to serve humanity. He said that their efforts to expand the services of the hospital made them sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with medical experts from Egypt. He added that; “We hope that the MoU we signed will be a source of pride and also serve humanity”.
He explained that the hospital was established more than seven years ago, but he said that this day was special as a result of the courtesy visit of; “His Highness the Emir of Kano. We have succeeded in signing MoU with these doctors who came from Egypt to work with us”, he noted.
In his comment, Dr Thamer Kazamel expressed his contentment over the visit, where He said; “I am very grateful. I can’t find words to express my gratitude for your kind visit and give us this honour. We promise that we will be so proud all the time for this visit. We are planning to use the new technology to establish a telemedicine clinic here. We are also planning to bring doctors from time to time from abroad”, he noted.
The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero in his brief remark stated that bringing medical experts from Egypt by MGK Healthcare is a great development for Nigerians.
The Emir also welcomed and thanked the doctors for choosing to come to Kano; “We thank almighty Allah for bringing you to this state. Thank you for the effort you made to come here.”
“We hope that your arrival will be good for our country as a whole and not just for Kano State alone. We also assure you that this is your home. We hope that whatever you do, you will believe that you are helping humanity”, he encouraged them.
He prayed to almighty Allah to bring development and progress to the hospital so that the hospital will be expanding to other areas.
After his remark, MGK Healthcare team presented an honour gift to the Emir.
During the visit, the Emir was conducted around some places including General outpatients Clinic, Inpatient Clinic, Obstetrics & Gynaecology clinic, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, ENT, Paediatric, General Surgery, pharmaceutical, Laboratory, radiology, orthopaedic and dental surgery clinic among others.
The Emir was chaperoned by some members of the Emirate Council and other traditional title holders from the Emirate.
MGK Healthcare is a multi-specialist hospital that performs various services; and has many general physicians and other specialists offering their expertise to both outpatients and inpatients.
