Ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Jigawa, one of the aspirant, Mr Farouk Aliyu has urged delegates to vote on merit.
Aliy, made call while inaugurating his campaign office in Dutse, and promised to support any of the eight other aspirants who emerged the party’s flag bearer for 2023 general election.
He, however, promised to use agriculture and Information Communication Technology to improve Jigawa’s economy.
Aliyu said that he would deploy necessary tools to eradicate poverty and create jobs for the youths as well as support the vulnerable if elected as governor.
He assured the teeming supporters of the party that he would continue with the developmental projects and programmes initiated by Gov. Muhammad Badaru’s administration.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the APC governoship primaries in the state was yet to commence.
NAN reports that the party as at 1:00 p.m. is still holding a stakeholders meeting at its secretariat in Dutse for possible negotiations on concensus candidate.
